About DealerPrep

Why we built it

Roughly 30,000 licensed Ontario dealers and salespeople now have a recurring exam to pass to keep their license, on top of the initial certification thousands of new entrants take every year. The existing study tools are scattered, mostly free and ad-supported, with weak trust signals and no polished mobile app. DealerPrep is the professional alternative.

How questions are written

Every question is original, written from public legislation. We work from the MVDA itself (Ontario law, freely reproducible under the Open Government Licence) and OMVIC's public bulletins and guidance. We do not paraphrase Georgian College's manual, CourseTree's kits, Quizlet sets, or any other prep product.

Every question carries a cited source so you can verify the answer in the underlying regulation. Before launch, content is reviewed by an Ontario subject-matter expert.

Independence

DealerPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by OMVIC, the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery, or Georgian College. It's a third-party study companion. The mandatory course and the CPD program run on their own platforms; DealerPrep is practice for the underlying material.

Privacy

Everything in the app is local-first. Your progress and history live on your device, optionally synced privately to your other devices via iCloud. No analytics SDK, no third-party trackers, no advertising. The marketing site (this one) uses no analytics either.
